Bugatti TypeZero Concept

Bugatti TypeZero ConceptIt's never a bad idea to look to the past for inspiration, just as long as you don't forget the needs and wants of the future when doing so. French designer Marc Devauze looked at Bugatti's glorious past and chose the brand's most successful racecar ever, the 1920's Type 35 that won over 1,000 races including the Grand Prix World Championship as well as the famed Targa Florio, for inspiration in creating his award winning TypeZero Concept. The TypeZero is a study for a single-seater, electric powered "hypercar". It was designed to feature four in-wheel electric motors fed by detachable Lithium-Air batteries located on either side of the driver.  Other highlights include the minimalistic interior that Devauze says is constructed "like an old race car with an enveloping bucket seat stretched through the car".

Lamborghini Aventadors

Lamborghini AventadorsIt might be selling like hotcakes for a V12-powered Lamborghini, but how often do you seen one, let alone three examples of the Aventador LP700-4 on the road?
Unless you live or hang around very glamorous places, the answer is probably never, which is why we just had to share this video that comes courtesy of supercar spotter "Shmee150", who dropped the link along with the following message into our email box earlier this morning: "I thought you may quite like this one; three pretty awesome Aventadors messing around a little, 'The Italian Job - Lamborghini Style.' Not an everyday sight that's for sure." We are told that all three Lamborghini Aventadors are customized by Oakley Design boasting a 60hp power boost, with the orange car being a base LP760-4, the white example a Refined Marques Dragon Edition, and the green version the one-off Nasser Edition with a paint job that incorporates £12,000 (US$19,000) worth of gold flake mixed into the clear lacquer paint job.

Lamborghini Aventador LP900

Lamborghini Aventador LP900 If you have a heart that beats strongly inside you, then you must have felt something about Lamborghini's €2.1 million Aventador J Speedster that was presented at this year's Geneva motor show. However, wanting and being able to obtain the roofless Aventador J Speedster are two different things. Even if you could afford it, Lamborghini only built one specimen that was sold to an unnamed buyer even before we laid our eyes on the car. In the case you fell in love with the styling details of the Aventador J Speedster, German design and tuning house DMC just may be able to help you out with a new limited package that imitates the looks of the one-off model on the Aventador coupe while also adding an even more powerful punch under the hood.

Lamborghini Gallardo LP560

Lamborghini Gallardo LP560Who said Lamborghinis can't be driven on the snow? Well, perhaps owners of cars made in the pre-VW Group era (sans the LM002 SUV) or rear-wheel editions, but the Gallardo LP560 with its fairly advanced all-wheel drive system and equally importantly, the correct set of tires, can be a delight on nature's frosting. After making the news for placing a…ski-box on his Gallardo LP560 and let's not forget, for having no problem driving his other ride, a Lamborghini Murcielago through a border passing filled with water in Greece, professional free-skier and alpine ski racer Jon Olsson wanted to show us what his Lambo can do on the snow. Once he freed the Gallardo from tons of snow that had piled up on the Italian sports model's foiled wrapped body using a plastic shovel, Olsson jumped in and took for a spin. You can watch him in the video you will find right past the break.

Laborghini Gallardo

Lamborghini GallardoIt's hard to believe that the Lamborghini Gallardo has been with us for a decade now, with its replacement not due for another year. While we wait for the new model, if you happen to own one of the early Gallardo supercars produced from 2003 to 2007 (2004-2008MY) and would like to bring it up to date with the first facelift made in 2008, German design and tuning house DMC offers a cosmetics only package under its SOHO lineup. The kit includes a new and more angular-shaped front bumper, side mirrors, side skirt extensions and a different rear diffuser, all made from carbon fiber. Along with the styling parts, DMC says at an additional cost, it can also fit the car with new alloy wheels and refine the interior with a special line of leather and carbon components.
